Post Lux Tenebras (Interlude): performance art Project

Post Lux Tenebras

Art & Performance Art in Europe: today we announce an event of a cooperation between Fundación Caja Castellón & GlogauAIR. Curated by: Alfredo Llopico. The Exhibiting Artists are: Alejandro Ocaña (ES), Antoni Solera (ES).

„Post Lux Tenebras (Interlude)“ is a performative project of choral character that arises from the exhibition ‘Post Lux Tenebras’, which was exhibited in the Sala Sant Miquel of the Fundación Caja Castellón, from last December 22 to April 20, 2024. This project shows a journey through darkness. A vital journey that opens the doors to the contemplation of that which makes us uncomfortable and yet attracts us. Because there is in the monstrosity of things an invisible force that pushes us to contemplate them. Perhaps because we are the monsters. We recognize ourselves in the ugliness of what surrounds us and we cannot avoid recreating ourselves in our own morbidity.

During the different work sessions, a series of materials will be exhibited, such as readings, performances, specialized articles by the two artists with the curator, together with the participation of the two GlogauAir’s resident artists, which will serve as a starting point and reflection to carry out collective research.

The sense of fear and uncertainty has evolved from the representation of terrifying, otherworldly beings to friendly and often humorous figures in popular culture, reflecting changes in society’s beliefs and attitudes. ‘Post Lux Tenebras’ poses an artistic reflection in which European artists will reflect on their fears, and what are the threats that arouse our fundamental fears in contemporary society. It reflects the concerns that are adapted to the mood of the times.

Vernissage and Performance Art Day: 19.07 / 6 pm

Colloquium: 20.07 / 6-9pm
